Story time at granny’s acres. Children’s stories about Granny’s farm animals.
Roses are red
Roses are white
I want you to be
My Valentine tonight!
Granny was ready for Christmas. All the lights on the tree were blinking and the train PaPa made was going around and around the tree. It was Christmas Eve and all Papa and Granny’s family was there. It started to snow earlier in the day and now the ground was covered with white snow glistening in the moon light. Everyone was singing Christmas Carols and having a good time.
Now the time came, that everyone was waiting on. No, it was not opening the presents but something greater. It was the family tradition of going out to the barn and reading the story of the birth of Jesus with all the animals. Out into the bitter cold they all went to the barn with all the animals listening as PaPa reads out of the bible of the birth of Jesus. Granny reminds everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season and they all gave thanks.

Rain, Rain don’t go away,
Please come and stay the day.
I want to go out and play in the water puddles.
I have a new rain coat, hat and boots,
A gift from my Grandma Coots.
Mommy says I must come in,
I might get sick again.
If I get ill,
I’ll have to take a pill.
So, rain, rain don’t go away,
Please come stay a half a day.

Green pumpkins, orange pumpkins and white pumpkins to ,
I grew pumpkins for me and you.
Large pumpkin, small pumpkins, yes pumpkins galore,
No matter how many I have, I always want more.

Leaves are falling to the ground,
One by one they swirl round.
Two by two they cover my shoes.
Three by three they fall from the trees.
Four by four they blow though the door.
Five by five they try to hide.
Six by six all the colors are beginning to mix.
Seven by seven some blow toward heaven.
Eight by eight they blow against the gate.
Nine by nine I will rake the ones that are mine.
Ten by ten the leaves are falling down again.
All the Fall leaves are falling down,
They are all over the ground.
I must hurry and get the rake,
A big pile of leaves I will make.
Then I will call all my friends to come over to my house,
To run thought the leave pile like a mouse.
Leaves in Fall is the prettiest of all,
Green, red, yellow, orange and golden brown.
I love the colors and the shapes of all the leaves down on the ground.
I pick them up one by one,
I bet I almost have a ton.
My teacher says its the best she has seem,
since she made hers with her Grandma Bean.
There is an apple upon my bed,
It is so pretty, big and red.
A bite I will take of my apple and see,
how good the apple tastes to me.
You taste so juicy, sweet and good,
I would eat the apple all over again if I could.

Apples, apples on the ground
I will count them as I turn around.
1, 2, 3 is what I see; then 4, 5, 6 among the sticks,
Oh now I see 7, 8, 9 and 10 maybe I better count again.

Dear Granny,
Granny please tell all the chidren reading your stories to,
Check themself twice, make sure they are nice cause Christmas will be coming again soon.
Not being nice sometimes comes with a price and that could make them cry.
Cause if they age bad, it will make Santa sad and he will not stop by.
He will go to the house of the good girls and boys, and there he will leave all the toys.
So if they will be good, like they know that they should.
They will get the best like all of the rest of the good little boys and girls.
