On Granny’s Acres runs a railroad track which has trains going pass several times a day.  Along the tracks are evergreen trees.  These trees have been on Granny Acres for years and some of the trees are 70 feet high.  On this day the wind came up and a storm was starting to brew.  The wind began to blow harder and harder and the trees began swaying until one of the trees came up out of the ground and landed across the railroad tracks.  The animals ran as fast as they could to tell Granny about the tree before a train came.

Granny was in her kitchen making up a batch of chocate chip cookies for Farmer Vic.    When Granny saw the animals coming across the field she knew something was wrong.  Granny ran out the kitchen door to see what the animals wanted.  It was all Granny could do to stand because the wind was still blowing hard and the sky was getting darker.  The animals told Granny what happen.

Farmer Vic was driving up the driveway and told Granny he saw the tree go down.  Farmer Vic had brought his chain saw to cut up the tree and get it off the railroad track for Granny.   Farmer Vic and the animals went back toward the tracks to the tree and Granny went to the kitchen to finish the cookies.

When Farmer Vic and the animals came back Granny had a table all fixed inside the covered patio.  “Come on in,”  said Granny.  “I have fresh baked cookies and milk for all the hard workers for helping me with the fallen tree,”  yelled Granny.  As the rain came down Farmer Vic, Granny and the animal enjoyed a cookie picnic.
