It was a cold January night and not a star in the sky. “Looks like it might snow tonight,” said Papa. “I don’t mind a little snow” said Granny as she puts a lemon cake in the oven.
“Baking a cake for the animals,” laughed Papa as he sits down at the table. “Oh, Papa you know the animals can not eat sweets, it’s not good for the animals.” “I am fixing the cake for us to enjoy as we sat and play board games with the grandchildren.”
Lemon cake was the grandchildren’s favorite cake when they come to stay all night with Granny and Papa. “Well, I’m not sure the sweets are good for us either,” laughed Papa as he rubbed his fat round tummy.
