Oh my! Oh my! Granny says as she jumps out of bed. Granny has over slept and she has so many things to do. Granny’s children and grandchildren are coming for Christmas. Granny is so excided she can hardly wait to see them. Off to the bathroom Granny goes to shower and bush her teeth and hair. Now that Granny is dressed she is off to the kitchen to start her holiday cooking.
In the kitchen Granny washes her hands and puts on her apron. Granny gets out the list she made of what everyone’s favorite food is at Christmas. Now lets see Granny thinks to herself Nancy likes my million dollar fudge and Victor likes my mince meat pie. Emily and Vince likes my canned dill pickles and they like to drink the juice to. Sandra she is the pumkin pie girl. Now with her thoughts in order Granny starts to cook.
Granny already has the dill pickles made, she made them last summer so she starts in making the pumkin and mince meat pies. Granny does not stop there she also makes a cherry pie and a apple pie. Granny now has the pies in the oven and starts in on the candy. First she makes the million dollar fudge, then the divinity and what is Christmas without peanut brittle and english toffee. Granny should not have started baking because she could not stop. Granny had made up batches of many different kinds of cookies for the children to bake on Christmas eve so they could put some under the tree for Santa.
Granny was finished and went into the living room to watch a Christmas story. As Granny watched her story she thought the one thing that would made this a perfect Christmas is for it to snow. Yes, a White Christmas Granny thought how perfect and Granny fell asleep watching her show.
When Granny woke up she walked over to the window. Granny could hardly believe her eyes. It is snowing! Wow this is going to be a perfect Chrismas and with that thought Granny put on her coat and when out to the barn to get out the sleds for the children.
