“There is something exciting going on at Granny’s barn,” shouted the little chicks as they ran down the path.  Bessie the cow is having her calf.  “Everyone listen,” they shouted as loud as the could.  “Get Granny, get Granny, Bessie is having her calf,” they shouted.  As the little chicks reached the porch Granny was coming out of the house.  Granny began to laugh as the chicks were running so fast they began to do roll head over feet. 

“Granny! Granny Bessie is having her calf,” they said.  “Oh my!” said Granny “we better get to the barn and see if she needs any help.”  Off they went to the barn and as they open the door they found Bessie with her little bull calf.  ”Bessie,”  said Granny, “what a good looking bull calf you have. ”  Granny walks behind Bessie to get a closer look.  When Granny got behind Bessie Granny shouted, “Oh my! Bessie you had twins.”

Both of the little bull calves started jumping and running around the barn.  They were having a great time and checking out all the animals that came to see them.  Yes, it was a exciting time in Granny’s barn but it looks like it could be double the fun for the farm animals to have new friends to play with.
