Mervin the duck and his family gets up early and goes to the pond to swim.
Betty the cow and her calf likes to spend their day in the field eating grass.
My Lady just likes looking cute.
Bobby and Mryna the little pigs likes to play in the mud puddle.
The Colonel (Granny’s Rooster) likes to peek into the windows.
The goats all like to play in the field and eat leaves.
Jay Jay just likes hanging around waiting on the grandchildren to come and play.
Granny’s little dog Poohbear thinks he is the guard dog over the animals on the farm. When Poohbear is not looking a cat will sneak by him.
Granny’s cats likes to play tag.
They also keep on the look out to make sure no mice comes into Granny and Papa’s house from the field.
Papa has a large alfalfa pasture.
In the summer Papa cuts and rakes the field of alfalfa.
Then Papa bales the alfalfa and put the bales in the barn for the cattle to have something to eat in the winter.
Papa puts the hay into small square bales and large round bales.
Papa will harvest the wheat when it turns a golden color and sells the wheat or grinds it up into feed for the animals.
Papa then bales the straw from the wheat. The straw is used for bedding for the animals to keep warm in the winter. Straw is also used in the Fall season with scarecrows and pumpkins.
The corn fields are also harvested and then made into feed for the animals.
The soybeans from the soybean field goes to make bio diesel fuel to run the machinery on the farm.
Granny’s Acres is a great place for animals.
